In its 10th year, the NutrAward, which recognizes innovative, evidence-based health and nutrition ingredients as well as technology products, went to Maypro Industries, Purchase, NY, for Oligonol, a patented, all-natural antioxidant ingredient reported to promote healthy aging, reduce post-exercise fatigue, support the human defense system and reduce platelet reactivity in subjects with elevated risk of cardiovascular disease. The oligomerized polyphenol has a higher antioxidant capacity than many phytonutrients, based on ORAC, TEAC and lipid peroxidation assays.
